Will I feel any pain ?

You will feel nothing! We will use local anesthesia to numb the treated areas. You will not remember getting the anesthesia and we do not even get a reaction from the patient while we administer it ! You will be comfortable !

How long will I be relaxing ?

Depending on your needs, from two to three hours. You most likely will also rest for 3-4 hours when you get home.

Will someone need to accompany me ?

Yes, due to the sedative effects of the oral sedation medications, you will need someone to drive you to our office and home again. We recommend that you do not drive for the rest of the day. If we only use Nitrous Oxide sedation, you will not need someone to drive you home.

Will I be monitored ?

Yes, one of our team is always with you and your vital signs are constantly monitored during the entire visit. You are never alone.

Is Oral Sedation safe ?

Oral Sedation Protocols have been used safely for 30 years. Dr Bixby will review your medical history and monitor you closely while you are under sedation.

What will my visit be like ?

We need for you to arrive at our office about 1 hour before your appointment. Dr Bixby give you your Oral Sedation medications and bring you to one of our treatment rooms, where you will have the opportunity to comfortably relax while watching TV. You will then become very drowsy and unaware of time passing by.

Our specially trained team will monitor you throughout the appointment. Your vital signs ( heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen ) are fully monitored until your appointment is over. When you awake, you'll be done with the dentistry and feel relaxed and comfortable.

And best of all, you usually won't remember the treatment appointment.
